What is Turntable Customs Avatars?
Turntable Custom Avatars is a Google Chrome extension that allows users to wear their own avatars, besides the one’s turntable.fm offers. The extension allows anyone with it installed to see their customs. You can sport your style, pimp out your brand or even become your own hero. So far over 400+ people have the extension installed, so why not check it out!
How does this all work?
First you need to install the Chrome Extension. With the extension installed you can see anyone who has a custom avatar. To get an idea of how bad ass this really is, be sure to check out our Turntable Customs room.
To get yourself a custom avatar you need to fill out our form and submit your request. There’s an image uploader in the form for submitting a picture or your own avatar design. When submitting your avatar PLEASE make sure it is a large clear picture facing front. Specify it you want a back, if you want a back, make sure you upload a front and back image of your avatar. (Try to keep it G Rated, thanks) PLEASE READ FAQ BEFORE SUBMITTING!
The Process
When we get avatar requests, besides putting it together, we have to scale down your photo to fit the right dimensions that will fit the specs. We use your photo and description to come up with a quick design. But if you have a pretty good idea we usually come up with some badass shit. We also host the avatars on our dedicated server to ensure high uptime.
Once your avatar has been optimized, we upload the images to our server and assign your turntable user id to your custom avatar. You will receive an email when your avatar has been added and ready for you to pimp out.

Download our PSD templates if you know what you want. Make sure you export a transparent PNG. Have fun dudes and dudettes!
